Founded in 1967, The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) is a not-for-profit, interdisciplinary professional organization. How did I decide to become an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist?

As I worked with adults I began hearing a lot from clients that it is difficult to talk in counseling and with their doctor about sexual issues. That makes sense, right? It is a very personal topic. But what I heard also was that they could tell the counselor and doctor seemed to be more uncomfortable than the client.

As my anxiety lessened through my life my confidence grew. Along with that came the desire to help people with more areas of their life. My philosophy is live the life you want/need to as long as you don’t harm others.

I have worked and received training in various areas of sex.
This includes:

  • Pain with intercourse,

  • Desire discrepancy,

  • Kink discrepancy,

  • Lack of desire,

  • Erectile disorder,

  • Porn issues,

  • LGBTQIA+,

  • Open marriages,

  • Polyamory,

  • Sexual trauma,

  • Infidelity,

  • Sex education,

  • Sexual identity,

  • Relationship issues related to sex, and more.
